Our duty when providing credit assistance

Nothing on this website is credit assistance in itself. When we do provide credit assistance to you as a consumer, we are subject to the best interests duty under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, and must give priority to your interests where a conflict arises. That duty applies to regulated consumer credit and not to commercial or business lending. Our Credit Guide sets this out in full.

Calculators and tools

Calculators produce estimates based on the figures you enter and simplified assumptions. They are not a credit assessment, a pre-approval, an offer of credit, or an indication that any lender will approve a loan. Actual products, rates, fees, thresholds and lending criteria vary and change over time.

No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee loan approval, a particular interest rate, a particular saving, or any borrowing capacity. Credit criteria, fees, charges, terms and conditions apply to all lending.

Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep content accurate and current but make no warranty as to its completeness or accuracy. Rates, government schemes, duty thresholds and lender policies change frequently. We may change or remove content, and interrupt access to the site, at any time.
