What could change this figure

  • Your eligibility for first home buyer or owner-occupier concessions
  • Whether the property is established, new or vacant land
  • Whether you are purchasing through a company or trust
  • State-specific thresholds, which change regularly

Rates, thresholds and concessions can change. This calculator provides an estimate only and is not legal, tax or financial advice. Confirm the current figures with Queensland Revenue Office (qro.qld.gov.au) or your solicitor before relying on them.

How this is calculated
  • Duty is calculated on the property value using each state's published transfer duty brackets.
  • First home buyer concessions are applied on a simplified basis. Real eligibility depends on price caps, residency requirements, property type and whether you have owned property before.
  • Foreign purchaser surcharges are applied at indicative state rates where selected.
  • Rates, thresholds and concessions change regularly. Figures are reviewed periodically and the review date is shown with your result.
